Enough of “No you can’t,” or “You shouldn’t” and “maybe tomorrow.” Seriously? Of people saying “Maybe that’s good enough” leaving potential on the doorstep to die alone. Seriously?! I was done with “it’s ok” – this evil mistress of indifference. Sometimes anything is better than nothing. Seriously! Anything to ease the pain, to get started, even to be wrong that can be rightened – anything really. Doesn’t have to be real. Maybe just fake it – nobody will notice. Seriously.
Project Description
The fakery is reconsidering the concept of the liar and faking as a possibility for creating a vision of the future today. Instigating proactive ways of challenging everyday concepts of reality and truth. Having understood that it is time to create change rather than wait for it to happen, it becomes a platform designed to instruct, inspire and activate others to manifest visions and alternative realities that move from the plausible to the actual. We are the creators of our own rules, means, and measures that drive real change and make a difference.
That some change will take place before this century has drawn to its close we have no doubt whatsoever. Bored by the tedious and improving conversation of those who have neither the wit to exaggerate nor the genius to romance, tired of the intelligent person whose reminiscences are always based upon memory, whose statements are invariably limited by probability, and who is at any time liable to be corroborated by the merest Philistine who happens to be present, Society sooner or later must return to its lost leader, the cultured and fascinating liar. With a series of interventions and experiments I test different angles of the concept of the lie, the fake, the forgery and explore possibilities to change our environments and behaviour on a everyday basis to feel in charge of the tomorrows we want to live in today.

An intervention in Stockholms underground system that is a response to the zero-tolerance policy on street art in Sweden. The existing typographical elements are used to camouflage a series of messages, protecting them from being instantly removed. Based on the directions given by the existing exit signs, the phrases “exit to wherever you want” and “exit to what you always wanted to do but never dared to” are added.

Lost for decades, a time old tradition is slowly finding its way back into the cellars of Europe’s best winemakers. Seasonal vegetable corks were introduced to consumers at Stockholms Systembolaget by distributing a counter fitting inlay to the information leaflet. At the Salone del Mobile 2014 the new product was introduced to a broad audience of experts.

The nobel prize in failure will be awarded the first time in 2015. In accordance to the supplement to Alfred Nobel’s final will and testament found to be authentic in 2013. The original supplement was presented for the first time at the “FAIL BETTER” exhibition at the Science Gallery, Dublin.
